Chairman Message
God has created almost all human beings with excellent intellect, but very few individuals usually utilize this intellect for the betterment of the community .We at PTRF are blessed with expert professionals they have a mission to help the physically challenged individuals in the rural remote communities in Pakistan. The huge number of population live in the rural areas but they have not enough health and education facilities and most of the time young people with minor and correctable physical disabilities have no chance to get expert professional services and live a productive life in the community. The most painful issue is that being nonproductive citizens, the community most of the time permanently labeled those individuals with their disabilities and humiliate them throughout their life that is why PTRF has chosen the slogan; \"To live a decent life is a basic human right\". A group of Physical therapy experts with strong determination have took this responsibility to eliminate or minimize physical disabilities in the rural communities of Pakistan by their professional skills and educations and also conduct research studies on different topics to resolve the crucial issues of those communities where people have no access to expert health professionals. There are many areas of research are already identified by the researchers at PTRF including;
- What type of modification in the usual wheel chair could improve wheel chair mobility in the hilly areas?
- The impact of school bag pack on childrens posture (1-8 grades) walks to schools for a distance of 1 mile or more?
- Could any suitable sports activities improve functional level of the physically challenged persons?
- To determine the effective method of teaching to train the less educated/uneducated young persons of the community, how to help the physically challenged individuals.
- The diffrent types of Disablities and Services Available in Pakistan.
Our researchers are ready to start work on those projects, we at PTRF welcome all the national and international donor organizations to sponsor any of our research project and strengthen our efforts to eliminate/ minimize the physical disability from the rural areas of Pakistan and turn this slogan in to reality that \"To live a decent life is a basic human right\"
